| CITAZIONE Clive Owen Gets 'Protection' Set to star in new thriller for director Patrick Alessandrin
Next up for Clive Owen: It could be a kinetic action-thriller in the same vein as his 2007 flick Shoot 'Em Up.
Production Weekly is tweeting that Owen and director Patrick Alessandrin, who helmed the recent District B13: Ultimatum, will be collaborating on Protection, an actioner with script by newcomer Brandon Noonan. According to reports, the film revolves around a disgraced Special Forces soldier who takes on Mexican gangs in an attempt to rescue a judge’s daughter.
Paul Walker and Simon West were once attached to star and direct, respectively, but they may have moved on. Meanwhile, based on District B13 (click here for the trailer), it looks like we might expect a more playful, physical film courtesy of Alessandrin.
Owen, who can presently be seen in the critically-acclaimed The Boys Are Back, is already looking to have a busy year ahead, with the drama Trust and possibly Spike Lee’s Inside Man 2 on his plate. No word yet where Protection fits in with those projects, scheduling-wise. fonte: www.cinemaspy.com/article.php?id=3879stavo pensando..però alessandrin sembra un cognome italiano.. =D
